Embracing the first forty days postpartum can be an empowering practice. Here are some ways to fully embrace this transformative period!

By embracing this transformative period with love, compassion, and self-care, you will set the foundation for an empowered postpartum experience 💗

 

Acknowledge the importance: 

Recognise the significance of the first forty days after childbirth. This time is crucial for your physical recovery, emotional well-being, and bonding with your baby. Understanding the value of this period will help you prioritise self-care and create space for healing.

 

Seek support:

Surround yourself with your village. Get meal trains happening from friends and whānau. Join local mum groups, or connect with other new mamas online. Sharing your experiences, seeking advice, and finding solidarity will help you navigate this journey with confidence and empowerment.

 

Let go of expectations: 

Release any pressure to "bounce back" or conform to societal expectations. Embrace the fact that your body has just accomplished an INCREDIBLE feat and deserves time to heal and recover. Allow yourself to rest, both physically and mentally, without judgment or comparison.

 

Prioritise Self-care:
