This is Natalie's story;
My daughter is my first baby so being a mum has been a huge learning curve! In the early days when everything felt scary and new I found using affirmations helped me a lot. Breastfeeding in particular is such a precious yet demanding thing and by changing my mindset towards it I was able to go with the flow and feel gratitude for it – even at 3am on my third wake up of the night. I’d put on a breastfeeding meditation video from YouTube and repeat the mantras as I gazed down at my baby girl. It definitely hasn’t always been easy and at times I’ve been reduced to tears, felt frustrated, or wanted some freedom back. In those moments I’ve given myself space to feel those feelings too, knowing they’ll pass and soon enough I’ll be back in my state of immense gratitude for the beautiful life I’m sustaining. Your belly birth oil has been a great addition to my recovery. I use it at the end of the day as a chance to lie quietly, tend to my scar and connect with my body.
