As mothers, we spend so much time preparing for baby, we forget to prepare for postpartum.
We love babies, but we’re here for mums.
We’re here for the tears. The stitches. The bleeding. The hormones. The identity shift. The haemorrhoids. The crying in the shower moments. The "holy shit, no one warned me about this" days.
Postpartum is not an afterthought. It’s a season that deserves care, respect, and support.
It deserves a revolution.
Our natural, practical postpartum products are designed to support mama through the transition into motherhood, whether it’s your first baby or you’re adding to your tribe.
We take care of down there, so you can take care of your baby.
You've got this, mama.

Viva La Vulva began in a birth room in 2018. Stevie, Viva's co-founder, stood beside her friend as she brought her baby into the world. It was raw and powerful and life altering. When it was over and her friend needed something for her own healing, Stevie went looking. There was nothing. No products designed for a postpartum body. No support other than a packet of frozen peas and a plastic pump bottle.
That moment lit the spark.
Stevie knew mamas deserved better. So she found a homeopath, learned from experts and created the very first Viva product, The OG Healing Perineal Spray. A simple, natural blend designed to bring comfort and care to a body that had just done extraordinary work. It became the product mamas passed to each other. The one packed in every birth bag. The one that changed everything.
From there, Viva La Vulva became something bigger than a product line. A movement. A tribute to every woman who challenged the systems that kept postpartum invisible, and to the mamas who deserved better all along.
We create products that are natural, practical and genuinely useful. We champion education so mamas feel informed, confident and supported. We speak boldly because postpartum is real and messy and deserves to be talked about loudly.
We're here to make postpartum support mainstream, and to make sure no mama ever goes looking and comes up empty.
For too long society has had mamas believing that because we are biologically made to produce babies, we need to suck up all the discomfort that childbirth brings. Well, we're here to ensure mamas don't suffer in silence. We're here to break taboo and normalise postpartum and all that comes with it!
We keep it real:
No sugar-coating. No taboo topics. No pretending it’s all magical. You deserve honesty.
We're your support crew:
Your body has done something extraordinary. It deserves extraordinary care. We only make extraordinary products.
Empowering mamas:
Knowledge is power. We share it freely so you can make informed choices that feel right for you.
We're all in this together:
Motherhood was never meant to be done alone. We’re building a village - loud, pink, inclusive, and deeply supportive.
We create natural postpartum care formulations designed to support real recovery, using plant-based ingredients and traditional botanicals chosen for their gentle, effective properties.
Our formulas are thoughtfully developed by experts and made in Aotearoa, drawing on ingredients that have been used in postpartum care by cultures around the world for centuries. Every ingredient is selected with intention, to soothe, calm, and support the body during healing.
Alongside our formulations, we design practical postpartum tools to support recovery in everyday ways. All of our products are created with the same care and purpose, and packaged as thoughtfully and sustainably as possible.
Everything we make comes back to one simple question: Would this genuinely help after birth? If the answer’s no, we don’t make it.
We take care of down there, so you can take care of your baby.
As Viva La Vulva grows, so does our responsibility to support more mamas.
Postpartum care shouldn’t be a privilege. That’s why we partner with charities and not-for-profits to help make essential postpartum care more accessible to the families who need it most.
For every Viva La Vulva Healing Spray purchased, we donate $1 to Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Aotearoa (PADA) supporting mamas and whānau navigating anxiety and depression during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting.
You can also choose to add a donation at checkout, with contributions donated monthly.
Because when one mama is supported, it supports her whole village. 💗
We care about the planet in the same way we care about postpartum - thoughtfully, intentionally, and without pretending we’re perfect.
Being based in Aotearoa shapes how we do things. We prioritise natural ingredients, ethical sourcing, and smarter choices wherever we can; from recyclable packaging and soy-based inks to reducing waste behind the scenes.
We also design many of our products to do more than one job, because less clutter and less waste just makes sense (especially in postpartum).
Sustainability isn’t just about materials, it’s about people too. We work with suppliers who share our values and treat both people and the planet with respect.
We’re always learning, always improving, and committed to doing better as we grow. No greenwashing. Just considered choices that add up over time.
Because caring for mothers also means caring for the world their babies are growing into.
